Backed by Pat Gelsinger’s Playground Global with $5M, it ditches capacitors for transistors to boost speed and stack vertically. Still just a lab prototype, it aims for samples in four years and production in a decade, but could seriously slash the chip count needed for AI workloads. The catch? No 3D bonding standards yet, finicky oxide semiconductor reliability, and the usual graveyard of failed memory startups to navigate.[/lang_hl]
